Addiction is a psychological and physical inability to stop using a chemical, drug, or substance, despite this action causing psychological, financial, relationship or physical harm.
Some addictions also involve such activities as gambling, eating, or working, known as behavioural addictions.
Indicators of addiction include: The uncontrollable urge to seeking drugs or alcohol. Increasingly being involved in harmful habit-forming behaviour. Preferring to be involved in the harmful substance or behaviour to activities outside these areas.
